Pictures! - More to come as I find them

Here she is just home from the hospital, on the front porch. She's cool, man This one image describes "Miracle" completely, for me. Even though at this time I had thought we were nearly done, but soon realized we were only just beginning, the fact that she was home, alive, present-tense cognizant, etc..., is and was just a Miracle. Front steps pic. Here she's holding up her "dead" hand with her good one. Believe it or not, the fact that that thumb is up at all is amazing at this point. She had survived a 4,000lb 4x4 pickup truck bouncing off the side of her head at ~60mph, and here she is. At that time she was largely just an innocent baby again, with absolutely zero short-term memory whatsoever. Here the baby is comforting his momma. This is actually one of his early "head butt" kisses. Just the other day (about 1/25/05) she was upset, looking down, and he came over and lifted her head, and kissed her on the lips. He is the sweetest baby, ever.:)
Another baby-and-Jenna pic. Their relationship has been a very important focus for me. Fortunately he's a little sweetheart, and has learned to love and comfort her when she shows she's suffering. Great little therapist! :) You can also see her "PEG" (feeding tube) in this just-home pic. You're already familiar with this pic, as its the one on the front page. Notice how much the roof has buckled into the air, and how much the Toyota penetrated the Saturn's side structure. Based on where I pulled the Toyota's grille emblem from, it hit perfectly centered on Jenna's door. Which was actually good because much of the energy was transferred to the under-dash/firewall bulkhead structure. But unfortunately there was plently left over. This is just the other side of the car. Neither of those doors will shut or open normally. The whole car has been folded over the other side. Again notice the roofline.
Here you can see the way that the collapse of the right side of the car affected the seating position, and put Jenna's head right behind the B-pillar. Given the circumstances, this was probably the best place for it to be. I'd rather it bounce off that plastic-covered B-pillar than the steel hood of the Toyota. This pic lets you compare the relative positions of the two "B-pillars," the left (driver's) and the right one (Jenna's). Again with the roofline, and take a look at that right front tire. You're not supposed to be able to see that from here. This is where it starts to get really gruesome. I apologize in advance for this and some of the other images if anyone thinks its inappropriate or whatever. This is the cold hard reality of what happened to Jenna. You can see here that there was simply no room for Jenna here. Both lungs burst, pelvis snapped on both sides, head smashed, etc. You can't really see it here but theres Jenna's blood all over that "b-pillar"
Closer shot of the inside. Notice the lack of a passenger side on this particular car. Another shot of the inside that shows the way the (under)dash structure was collapsed by the impact. There is just no room for Jenna here. Uh, here's another pic of the Saturn. Even though this is a "plastic" car, it still withstood a hell of an impact. If you call this "withstood"... But given that a 4,000lb 4x4 hit it at 60mph+, "withstood" is a good word for it.
WHAM! The Saturn faired pretty well actually given what it was given to work with. If you were hit by a 4,000lb SUV doing 60+mph, I hope you'd look this good. Or this good. I don't call her Miracle Jenna for no reason.... ;) Here you can see the "structure" of the B-pillar that smashed against Jenna's head. If it wasn't for that thick piece of plastic "padding", or if her head had broken the window and impacted on the Toyota's hood, she'd probably be dead now. We count our blessings around here. :) Here you can see more of the way the back door was just folded in. The whole car was folded over onto that side. Sorry again if the image of Jenna's blood is inappropriate or whatever. This is what happened. Reality sucks, sometimes, but its what we're left to deal with.
Okay, so i made too many "rows" and figgered id fill em with the ol' Thumbs Up... Rock on Jenna!

We love you, man!!! :)

(more pics to come, when i find em ;)
